Gastroenterology Physician

Locum Physician - Gastroenterology Opportunity in Petoskey, MI

Join a dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility in the picturesque city of Petoskey, Michigan. This locum position provides you with the chance to practice gastroenterology in a hospital setting. The schedule offers Monday to Friday shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM, with 24-hour weekend call, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Experience excellent support with two physicians and two APPs on-site, along with all necessary services including an onsite lab and XRay facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct outpatient and inpatient scopes with a target of 18 outpatients and 20 inpatient scopes per day.
• Provide endoscopy coverage and manage consults between 7 AM and 4:30 PM.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Truly BE providers will be considered).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of prior experience post-Fellowship.
• Active Michigan medical license and CSR at the time of submission.
• Clean background with no disciplinary actions.
• Local candidates preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella vaccinations or immune titers.
• Flu vaccination for the current flu season.
• COVID-19 vaccination.
• ACLS certification.
• DEA confirmation.
• Recent NPDB self-query (within 30 days) required at presentation.
