General Maintenance Technician

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site General Maintenance Technician role based in the Doha Metropolitan Area. The General Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on AC (HVAC), tools, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations. Daily responsibilities include maintaining AC/HVAC ,machinery, diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and carrying out preventive maintenance schedules. The role also involves troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical problems, coordinating with supervisors and other technicians, and documenting maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, split ACs, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain air conditioning systems to ensure efficient cooling and reliable operation.
• Carry out electrical maintenance, including lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, and basic electrical wiring.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform necessary repairs while following electrical safety procedures.
• Perform plumbing maintenance, including repairing water leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and maintaining water supply and drainage systems.
• Inspect and maintain pumps, motors, valves, and other facility equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, offices, washrooms, and other facilities to identify maintenance issues.
• Perform general building maintenance, including minor carpentry, door repairs, lock replacement, painting, and fixture installation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns to minimize operational disruptions.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unexpected failures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments safely and effectively.
• Maintain maintenance records, report completed jobs, and communicate major faults to the maintenance supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, electrical safety standards, and facility maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with other maintenance team members and contractors to complete repair and maintenance activities efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, maintenance areas, and tools.
