NES is supporting a leading Oil & Gas organization in Qatar to hire a Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) . This is a senior leadership role responsible for the implementation, management and continuous improvement of the company's ERM framework. Provides assurance to leadership that ERM is applied across the Group to identify risks that impact the company's business goals and objectives and that mitigation actions are in put in place to manage identifies risks. e
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, policies, and standards.
- Facilitate enterprise risk assessments and maintain the enterprise risk register, ensuring risks are clearly defined, assessed, and actively managed.
- Define, track, and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk appetite thresholds to senior leadership.
- Key role in deciding on the key steps and deliverables for the ERM pricess and further upgades to teh ERM framework
- Partner with business functions to ensure risk management is embedded in operations, projects, and strategic initiatives (including large-scale asset and LNG/project environments).
- Prepare clear risk reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums, supporting escalation and action tracking.
- Coordinate risk alignment across related functions such as HSE/process safety, compliance, internal audit, business continuity, and cyber/technology risk.
- Interfaces with senior leaders across the company
Requirements
- University degree un a scientific, engineering or economic / financial subject preferably at post-graduate level and / or with a relevant internationally recognised professional qualification
- 15+ years of professional experience in a compliance / governance role in oil or gas, or a related process industry (refining, petrochemicals, chemicals), with at least 5+ years of direct experience in ERM
- Strong understandingof the oil and gas value chain, exposure to a wide range of operational situations and a deep understanding of value drivers and key risks across the value chain
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
