Head of Business Development

The Head of Business Development will be a key commercial leader responsible for expanding the company s industrial ecosystem and building a strong pipeline of tenants customers investors and strategic partners The role requires a combination of commercial leadership industrial sector knowledge and technical understanding of metal fabrication processes The successful candidate will be expected to identify and secure high-value industrial opportunities develop strategic relationships and create new revenue streams aligned with the company s long-term growth strategy

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Business Development strategy in line with corporate growth objectives
• Drive occupancy and revenue growth across the Production Hub and Storage Hub
• Identify and secure high-value metal fabrication galvanising and industrial tenants
• Identify new revenue opportunities through value-added services shared facilities and strategic partnerships
• Lead commercial negotiations for leasing service agreements and partnership contracts
• Build and maintain relationships with metal fabricators contractors steel traders industrial manufacturers storage operators and investors
• Develop and maintain a strong commercial pipeline across UAE and regional markets
• Represent the company at exhibitions industry forums trade missions and relevant industry events
• Develop targeted customer acquisition strategies to increase occupancy and revenue
• Build long-term relationships with key industrial decision-makers
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of metal fabrication workflows including Laser cutting Press braking Welding Galvanising Surface finishing Industrial storage and logistics
• Understand prospective tenants operational requirements and assess their suitability for the available facilities
• Evaluate the technical compatibility of proposed industrial activities with available infrastructure
• Engage directly with contractors fabricators and industrial manufacturers
• Own and deliver agreed revenue and occupancy targets
• Monitor KPIs including lead generation conversion tenant acquisition retention and cross-selling
• Develop commercial feasibility studies for new business initiatives
• Prepare pipeline forecasts performance reports and commercial risk assessments
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue generation and tenant value
• Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen the overall industrial ecosystem
• Build relationships with galvanising units fabrication partners storage operators and complementary industrial businesses
• Encourage cross-selling and collaboration between existing tenants
• Develop relationships with KEZAD industrial authorities and relevant regulatory stakeholders
• Work closely with Operations Finance Logistics Compliance and other internal functions to ensure smooth tenant onboarding
• Ensure commercial agreements align with internal governance and financial requirements
• Support long-term master planning and infrastructure development initiatives
• Lead and develop the Business Development team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
• MBA in Business Development would be advantageous.
• 10 15 years of relevant Business Development experience within metal fabrication, steel, industrial manufacturing, industrial storage or a closely related sector.
• At least 8 years in a leadership position.
• Proven track record in revenue generation and industrial tenant acquisition.
• Strong experience dealing with industrial project clients.
• Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and the industrial ecosystem.
• Advanced commercial negotiation and contract structuring skills.
• Experience with financial feasibility, ROI evaluation and commercial modelling.
• Strong knowledge of UAE industrial markets and regulations.
• Strong CRM, ERP, business intelligence and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
