Head of Finance

An excellent opportunity is available with a financial services institution operating in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) for a Head of Finance.

Reporting to the Senior Executive Officer, the successful candidate will work closely with the board of directors, stakeholders, and external parties.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the existing Firms' policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis.
• Responsible for ensuring the Firm is in full compliance with applicable processes.
• Responsible for ensuring the Firms policies and procedures regarding Accounts and finance are reviewed periodically to ensure they remain accurate and in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
• Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records, ensuring all income and liabilities are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reviewed.
• Monthly MIS Reporting
• Calculate and Maintain statement of capital adequacy and liquidity adequacy for internal and FSRA reporting purposes. Ensure adherence to financial laws and FSRA guidelines.

The Head of Finance will hold a University degree in Accounting / Finance and be a Certified Accountant with at least 5 years post qualification experience, preferably in the financial services industry and within ADGM/DIFC regulated firm. You will have knowledge of financial services products and markets (e.g., exchange traded futures and options, foreign exchange and CFD related products) and knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including regulatory frameworks and understanding of the applicable UAE/ADGM financial regulations and their impact from a financial perspective. You will be fluent in English. Additional languages are advantage.
