Barza Consulting is hiring on behalf of a growing start-up firm based in DIFC for a Head of Human Resources to lead and build the HR function.
This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for a senior HR professional who has worked within SME, established start-up or entrepreneurial environments and is comfortable building HR structures from scratch, processes and culture while supporting the business through its growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall HR strategy and day‑to‑day HR function
- Establish and enhance HR policies, processes and governance frameworks
- Partner closely with senior leadership on workforce planning and organisational priorities
- Lead recruitment and talent acquisition across key business functions
- Manage performance management, employee engagement and talent development initiatives
- Oversee compensation, benefits, employee relations and HR operations
- Ensure compliance with relevant UAE employment regulations and DIFC requirements
- Support organisational design, succession planning and future workforce growth
- Introduce scalable HR systems, processes and best practices as the organization expands
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership or HR generalist role within an SME, start‑up or fast‑growing organisation
- Strong understanding of the UAE employment landscape; exposure to DIFC employment regulations is highly advantageous
- Experience building or transforming HR functions, policies and processes
- Strong recruitment and talent management experience
- Commercially minded with the ability to partner effectively with founders and senior leadership
- Comfortable operating in a hands‑on role within a lean and evolving business environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- UAE experience is strongly preferred.
