Daikan Izakaya Abu Dhabi a premier destination for Japanese cuisine is looking for a warm and welcoming Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inviting atmosphere as well as ensuring smooth seating operations within our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Guest Reception Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanour as they arrive at the restaurant. Ensure a positive first impression.
- Seating Management Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently coordinating seating to optimise the dining room flow.
- Menu Knowledge Provide guests with information about daily specials, chef recommendations and our menu offerings.
- Customer Service Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly ensuring their needs are met and assisting with any special requests.
- Collaboration Work closely with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the dining experience.
- Maintaining Cleanliness Keep the host station and dining areas tidy and organised creating a welcoming environment.
- Health and Safety Compliance Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a hostess or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a friendly demeanour.
- Proficient in managing reservations and wait lists.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Team player with a commitment to providing excellent guest service.
