Summary: The HSE Officer for Piling Works will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on piling work sites.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures for piling works
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions
- Provide HSE training to employees and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure HSE requirements are met on all piling projects
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred; any degree is acceptable
- At least 8 years of overall work experience, with a minimum of 4-5 years specifically in piling works in the UAE
- NEBOSH certification is required and must be attested
- Lead Auditor certification is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to construction and piling works
- 2. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures
- 3. Strong communication skills to effectively convey health and safety regulations to workers and management
- 4. Ability to conduct accident investigations and implement corrective measures to prevent future accidents
- 5. Expertise in developing and delivering health and safety training programs
- 6. Familiarity with emergency response procedures and protocols
- 7. Attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards in piling worksites
- 8. Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate health and safety records
- 9. Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment used in piling works and their associated safety procedures
- 10. Certification in occupational health and safety management or a related field
