HR Generalist (Data & Operations)

Location: Dubai, UAE (On-site)

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised, hands‑on HR Generalist to run our entire HR function independently. We don’t use an HRIS, so this role owns all HR data and processes manually through Google Workspace and ClickUp. You will be the go‑to person for employees and management on everything from leave and payroll inputs to contracts and employee relations. You will work without day-to-day managerial oversight and report directly to the COO.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Data Management

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records, trackers and files on Google Drive.
• Manage leave, sickness and absence records on Google Sheets.
• Keep all HR trackers (leave, sickness, probation, visas, contract renewals) current and audit-ready.
• Manage HR tasks, deadlines and workflows in ClickUp.

Payroll Support

• Prepare and verify monthly payroll inputs (attendance, leave, deductions, additions).
• Coordinate with finance to ensure payroll is accurate and on time.
• Draft payroll-related letters for employees (salary certificates, NOCs, etc.).

Contracts, Policy & Documentation

• Draft employment contracts, amendments and offer letters in line with company HR policy.
• Draft employee letters such as experience and reference letters, warnings and confirmations.
• Support the creation, updating and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure HR practices comply with UAE labour law.

Time Keeping & Employee Relations

• Monitor attendance and time keeping, and elevate gaps or patterns to management.
• Observe and track employee conduct and behaviour, and raise concerns with the COO.
• Handle employee queries and respond to HR emails promptly and professionally.

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Run the end-to-end onboarding and exit process, including documentation and handovers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4–6 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a lean environment without an HR system.
• Strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, or a proven ability to learn and apply local regulations quickly.
• Advanced Google Sheets skills (formulas, trackers, data accuracy).
• Strong Google Drive organisation and document control.
• Hands-on experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools.
• Proven experience drafting contracts and HR letters from policy.
• Excellent written English and professional email communication.
