Richmond, VA | Onsite | Full-Time | $95,000–$100,000 annually
A growing organization is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to take ownership of a broad range of HR functions across the employee lifecycle. This is a highly visible, full-scope role for an HR professional who is comfortable working independently and balancing recruiting, payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day employee support. The ideal candidate will enjoy being a trusted resource for both employees and leadership while helping build consistent, effective HR practices across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day HR operations, serving as a primary resource for employees and managers across a broad range of workplace needs.
- Lead recruiting activities from identifying hiring needs through sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration while maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring HR processes are handled consistently.
- Partner with managers and employees on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, performance issues, and interpretation of company policies.
- Maintain HR policies, documentation, and employment practices while supporting compliance with applicable requirements.
- Coordinate employee communications, engagement initiatives, and company events that support a positive workplace culture.
- Partner with leadership on HR priorities, process improvements, workforce needs, and other initiatives that support the organization’s continued growth.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of progressive, hands-on HR experience with responsibility across multiple HR functions.
- Experience managing recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and general HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and employee documentation requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related systems or software.
Preferred:
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience supporting HR within a property management, real estate, or multi-site environment.
- Experience developing or improving HR policies, processes, and employee programs.
Compensation & Benefits
$95,000–$100,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications.
