Job Summary We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a strong background in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and associated equipment to ensure reliable operation, energy efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and safety standards.## 2. Key Responsibilities* Install, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and fan coil units (FCUs).* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC equipment in industrial facilities.* Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults in HVAC systems.* Diagnose and repair compressors, motors, fans, pumps, thermostats, sensors, and control systems.* Inspect and maintain ducting, dampers, filters, cooling coils, and ventilation equipment.* Check refrigerant levels, identify leaks, and perform refrigerant charging in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.* Read and interpret HVAC drawings, equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.* Monitor system performance, temperature, pressure, airflow, and other operating parameters.* Carry out routine equipment inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports.* Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of assigned work.* Follow Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and site-specific HSE procedures.* Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas industry standards, client requirements, and applicable safety regulations.* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.## 3. Educational Qualifications* ITI or Diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.* Relevant technical certifications in HVAC or refrigeration will be an advantage.## 4. Experience Requirements* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an HVAC Technician.* Previous experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, refinery, industrial plant, or similar facilities is essential.* Experience in maintaining industrial HVAC systems, ventilation equipment, and air conditioning systems.* Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules, fault diagnosis, and industrial safety procedures.## 5. Required Skills* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.* Good knowledge of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems.* Ability to read HVAC drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.* Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, refrigerants, and HVAC control systems.* Familiarity with PTW, LOTO, and HSE requirements.* Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.* Good communication, teamwork, and reporting skills.## 6. Safety Requirements* Strict adherence to site HSE policies and safe working practices.* Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).* Compliance with permit-to-work procedures and risk assessments.* Awareness of hazards associated with working in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical facilities.## 7. Preferred Qualifications* Previous experience in Qatar or GCC Oil & Gas projects.* Familiarity with industrial HVAC maintenance in hazardous or restricted-access areas.* Valid site safety training or relevant client-approved certifications, where required.**Note:** Candidates must have relevant Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry experience and be available to work in an industrial project environment.
