Leveraging at least five years of specialized hands-on expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, you will collaborate with data architects to optimize database performance, enforce strict data load SLAs, and ensure seamless business-as-usual (BAU) operational continuity. This position offers an outstanding platform for an accomplished data integration specialist to deliver high-impact data solutions within a premier global technology services provider.
Detailed Job Description:
As an Informatica ETL Developer at 3i Infotech in Abu Dhabi, you will hold comprehensive technical responsibility for enterprise data integration workflows, high-throughput batch transformations, and complex data pipeline architectures. Operating at the vital intersection of data modeling and operational data delivery, you will partner closely with Data Modelers, Data Architects, database administrators, and business stakeholders to translate complex business rules into robust, high-performance data warehousing solutions.
Your core technical scope encompasses developing and optimizing advanced Informatica PowerCenter mappings, sessions, and workflows, alongside tuning intricate SQL queries to maximize data throughput and minimize latency. You will actively manage data extraction from heterogeneous source systems, implement error handling and audit logging frameworks, and diagnose performance bottlenecks across large-scale relational databases and data repositories. Furthermore, you will take full ownership of production data load SLAs, troubleshoot root causes of job failures, provide Tier-3 BAU operational support, and uphold rigorous data engineering documentation and governance best practices. This role demands sharp diagnostic problem-solving capabilities, proven data warehousing rigor, and a steadfast dedication to high-availability enterprise data delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

- Execute complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) routines from disparate and heterogeneous source systems into target data warehouses.
- Collaborate actively with Data Modelers and Data Architects to design and refine high-performance relational and dimensional data models.
- Optimize and fine-tune complex SQL queries, database indexing, and data staging schemas to maximize retrieval throughput and reduce processing latency.
- Perform comprehensive root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting for complex pipeline bottlenecks, data discrepancies, and workflow failures.
- Ensure strict compliance with business data load SLAs and provide proactive Tier-3 support for smooth Business-As-Usual (BAU) data operations.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, data mapping specifications, source-to-target dictionaries, and operational runbooks.
- Enforce and uphold enterprise data governance standards, data engineering best practices, code quality audits, and version control procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 8+ years of total professional IT experience in data integration, data warehousing, and enterprise ETL engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on development expertise utilizing Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor).
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying complex ETL/ELT pipelines and transformation logic.
- Strong technical expertise in relational database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata) and advanced SQL performance tuning.
- Proven experience collaborating closely with Data Architects and Data Modelers on Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and dimensional modeling implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production workflow failures, optimize bottlenecked mappings, and perform thorough root cause analysis.
- Documented track record of maintaining and delivering against strict business data load SLAs within high-availability BAU environments.
- Excellent professional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder coordination skills with fluency in English.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Informatica PowerCenter Developer or Administrator certification.
- Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting to automate batch ETL scheduling and file processing routines.
- Familiarity with enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or UC4/Automic.
