Detailed Job Description
As an Infrastructure System Administrator at KBC Technologies, you will serve as a foundational technical lead responsible for the architecture, day‑to‑day administration, and performance tuning of critical IT infrastructure components in Qatar. Your daily responsibilities will encompass managing hybrid cloud and on‑premise Windows/Linux servers, administering Active Directory and Group Policy, configuring VMware and Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructures, and implementing automated server provisioning and configuration management via Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash. You will spearhead disaster recovery planning, enterprise backup strategies, and root-cause troubleshooting for complex system issues. Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell automation, and server clustering.
- Manage advanced Linux server infrastructures (primarily Red Hat-based distributions) covering installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise virtualization platforms, specifically VMware and Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).
- Configure and manage hybrid and public cloud computing resources, storage arrays, and virtual networking topologies.
- Design, execute, and monitor enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks.
- Automate server provisioning, configuration management, and system monitoring using Ansible, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for complex infrastructure failures and implement proactive preventive measures.
- Ensure strict adherence to security hardening guidelines, patch management cycles, and compliance standards.
- Maintain rigorous technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional IT, software engineering, and security operations teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on IT infrastructure administration experience, with 2+ years focused on Windows Server and Linux environments.
- In-depth proficiency in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, GPO, PowerShell, clustering).
- Advanced Red Hat-based Linux server management, security hardening, and performance troubleshooting expertise.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure (VMware, Nutanix, Dell).
- Proven experience managing hybrid and public cloud compute, storage, and networking resources.
- Expertise in enterprise backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong documentation, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication capabilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Professional certifications from Microsoft (MCSE/Azure Administrator) and Linux (RHCE/RHCSA).
- Hyperconverged infrastructure certifications from Dell or Nutanix.
