A law firm is seeking Associates to join its Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation practice group. The team represents insurers in complex, high-exposure coverage and reinsurance matters, including disputes under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers (D&O) insurance policies.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
- Manage depositions, hearings, and court appearances (commensurate with experience).
- Collaborate with colleagues while working independently as needed.
- Build client relationships and contribute to business development, where applicable.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.
- Familiarity with professional liability, general liability, and D&O coverage.
- Litigation experience across discovery, motion practice, depositions, and case management preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
