A company in Dubai is looking for a motivated IT Assistant to provide day-to-day technical support and help ensure the smooth operation of its IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will assist users with hardware and software issues, support network operations, maintain IT systems, and coordinate with vendors when required. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues both remotely and on-site.
- Troubleshoot local networks, Wi‑Fi, POS systems, printers, and business applications.
- Provide daily IT operations and systems support to end users.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues and follow up until they are resolved.
- Install, upgrade, maintain, and repair PCs at the component level.
- Support and troubleshoot Audio Visual (AV) systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance, repairs, and service requests.
- Monitor network performance proactively and maintain accurate IT documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Diploma, or equivalent IT qualification is preferred.
- Freshers and interns are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to relocate to or currently based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
Strong knowledge of:
- Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Local networks, Wi‑Fi, POS systems, printers, and Audio Visual systems.
- Microsoft Office, IT support procedures, and technical documentation. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Diploma, or equivalent IT degree is preferred.
