Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 10+ years of experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM and should be capable of analyzing business requirements and delivering reliable technical solutions in a mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL mainframe applications supporting critical business processes.
- Design, develop, and optimize JCL jobs for batch processing and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain DB2 database programs, including SQL queries, data retrieval, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Develop and support CICS online programs for real-time transaction processing.
- Work with VSAM files for data storage, access, and file management.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform application debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Optimize existing programs and batch processes for performance and reliability.
- Participate in application testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge-transfer activities.
- Ensure developed solutions meet enterprise coding and quality standards.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
- Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM .
- Strong SQL and database development experience.
- Experience with both batch and online transaction processing .
- Ability to understand business requirements and provide techno-functional solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
