Junior Sales Engineer(Oil & Gas)

The Junior Sales Engineer assists in driving technical specifications and accelerating sales for the Crouse-Hinds and B-Line product portfolios across the industrial and Oil & Gas segments within the assigned UAE region. Working under the guidance of the Sales Manager, this entry-to-mid-level role focuses on supporting distribution channels, tracking project pipelines, and learning to map end-users to expand market share.

Project Support & Market Mapping

• Track project opportunities across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, maintaining an updated pipeline of Greenfield and Brownfield developments.
• Assist in mapping OEMs, system integrators, and distributors under the guidance of senior sales leadership.
• Support site installation audits for LED conversions and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO ) requirements to help qualify pipeline leads.

Inquiry Handling & Technical Support

• Manage customer inquiries from initial technical receipt through to commercial quotation, learning the end-to-end purchase order conversion process.
• Coordinate with distributors to ensure the timely delivery of technical data sheets and commercial proposals to clients.
• Help evaluate basic client proposals to ensure alignment with standard technical and commercial terms.

Engineering & Product Assessment

• Review technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to learn how to select and propose the correct product offerings.
• Develop a strong technical understanding of GRP/SS panel solutions and LED industrial lighting conversions.
• Participate in cross-selling initiatives and learn to deliver structured product presentations to potential clients.
• Conduct regular reviews of distributor inventory levels to ensure baseline MRO readiness.
• Update and maintain the distribution tracking sheet on a monthly basis.
• Follow up on order execution timelines to help ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Meet individual activity-based key performance indicators (KPIs) to contribute to the broader team profit plan.

Job Requirements

Years and Area of Experience

• 1 to 3 years of experience in technical sales, engineering support, or estimation within the industrial or Oil & Gas sectors in the UAE.

Technical Knowledge

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering .
• Basic familiarity with industrial electrical solutions, hazardous area equipment, or cable management systems (knowledge of Crouse-Hinds or B-Line products is a strong plus).
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical datasheets.
• Baseline understanding of how distribution channels, OEMs, and contractors interact in the UAE market.
• Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, tracking sheets, and client quotations.

Soft Skills

• Eager to learn, proactive, and resilient in a competitive sales environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel for data tracking, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
