Legal Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Legal Consultant with a strong sales mindset and the ability to generate business, acquire new clients, and convert prospects into paying customers.

The ideal candidate will combine legal expertise with strong business development capabilities, taking ownership of client acquisition, pitching legal services, negotiating engagements, and driving revenue growth. This role is suited to a legal professional who can build relationships, identify commercial opportunities, and successfully convert leads into long-term client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and acquire new clients requiring legal consultancy and related legal services.


• Generate business opportunities through networking, referrals, LinkedIn, direct outreach, and industry connections.


• Conduct client meetings to understand legal requirements and present suitable legal solutions.


• Convert prospects into signed engagements through effective pitching, negotiation, objection handling, and consistent follow-up.


• Build and maintain relationships with business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, corporate executives, and key decision-makers.


• Promote the firm's legal services and actively expand its client base and market presence.


• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and engagement terms in coordination with the relevant legal team.


• Manage the complete client acquisition cycle, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and closure.


• Maintain a structured pipeline of prospects, meetings, proposals, conversions, and revenue opportunities.


• Develop existing client accounts, generate repeat business, and identify opportunities for additional legal services.


• Collaborate with internal legal teams to ensure client requirements are aligned with the firm's service capabilities.


• Work towards business development targets, client acquisition objectives, and revenue growth.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience is mandatory.


• A law degree or relevant legal qualifications, with experience in legal consultancy or legal services.


• Proven experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, or relationship management, preferably within a law firm or legal consultancy.


• Demonstrated ability to generate leads, convert prospects, negotiate commercial terms, and close client engagements.


• Strong commercial acumen and a target-oriented approach to business development.


• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.


• A proactive, persuasive, and results-driven approach, with the confidence to independently develop new business opportunities.


• Knowledge of the UAE business environment and corporate client market is preferred.
