Summary
Kickstart your IT career in a role where every shift matters and every alert teaches you something new. We’re looking for an entry-level NOC Monitor who’s hungry to learn, ready to grow, and excited to build the foundation for a future Systems Engineer role.
You’ll be part of a 24/7 operations environment that keeps critical infrastructure running, while receiving hands-on training designed to accelerate your technical development far beyond a typical entry-level role.
If you’re curious, reliable, and eager to build a long-term career in systems engineering, this is your launchpad.
Core Responsibilities
- Adaptable Shift Coverage: You’ll work an assigned shift, but you must be fully open to covering other shifts or moving to a new schedule when needed. Flexibility is key in a real operations environment.
- Immersive Training: Expect a lot of training — and that’s a good thing. You’ll learn how to do the job the right way, with guidance from experienced engineers who want you to succeed.
- Reliable Transportation: You need a dependable car and a reasonable commute. This role requires on-site presence.
- Curiosity That Drives You: You should naturally want to understand how systems work, why alerts happen, and how infrastructure fits together. Curiosity is your superpower here.
- Career Commitment: We’re looking for people who want to grow their skills. If you want a long-term path into systems engineering, you’ll thrive here.
- Educational Foundation: Some college, community college, trade school, or a technical program is preferred but not required.
- Real Work Experience: You must have some prior work experience.
- Ticketing System Skills: You should know how to operate within a ticketing system — creating tickets, updating them, documenting actions, and following workflow steps.
- Networking Knowledge: Any Cisco experience is a major plus and will help you advance faster.
NOC Duties
- Monitor network, server, and application dashboards for alerts and anomalies.
- Perform first-level triage using runbooks and escalate issues when needed.
- Document incidents clearly and accurately in the ticketing system.
- Support maintenance windows and scheduled downtime activities.
- Maintain situational awareness of system health, uptime, and SLAs.

As you grow, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to systems engineering.
