Librarian Assistant

We are hiring a Librarian Assistant to join our team in Dubai.

As a Librarian Assistant, you will assist the Head Librarian in managing the daily operations of the library, including cataloguing and shelving books, assisting patrons with finding resources, and maintaining library equipment. You will also be responsible for organizing library events and programs, such as storytime sessions for children and book clubs for adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Librarian in managing the daily operations of the library.
• Catalogue and shelve books.
• Assist patrons with finding resources.
• Maintain library equipment.
• Organise library events and programmes such as storytime sessions for children and book clubs for adults.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a library setting.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Degree in Library Science or a related field preferred (not required).
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of additional languages such as Filipino or Nepali is a plus.
• Culturally sensitive and capable of interacting with people from different backgrounds.
• Valid biometric passport.
• Willing to undergo background checks.
