Librarian (English Speaking) in Doha, Qatar

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team at a prestigious international school in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and have experience working as a librarian in an educational setting. This position requires someone with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school library and ensure it is well-maintained and organized
• Develop and implement library programs that promote reading, research, and information literacy skills
• Assist students in selecting appropriate resources for their projects and assignments
• Provide guidance to students on how to effectively use library resources and technology
• Collaborate with teachers to incorporate library resources into lesson plans
• Keep up-to-date with new books, databases, and other resources that can enhance the library collection
• Train and supervise library assistants or volunteers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a librarian in an educational setting
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with students and staff from diverse backgrounds
• Familiarity with electronic databases, online cataloging systems, and other technology used in libraries
• Knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not required
• This position is open for Egyptian nationals only

Salary: 1200$ per month (tax-free)
