The Light Vehicle Driver is responsible to provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services to clients. This role requires excellent driving skills, a courteous manner, and a high level of discretion. The Light Vehicle Driver is responsible for ensuring that vehicles are well-maintained and clean, and for following all traffic laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport clients to and from destinations in a comfortable, safe, and efficient manner.
- Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle, and with any luggage as needed.
- Open and close vehicle door for customers.
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is clean, well-maintained, and safe to drive.
- Schedule and take the vehicle for regular maintenance (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
- Ensure the vehicle is fuelled and ready for use at all times.
- Test vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, or windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation.
- Notify Supervisor/ Fleet department of vehicle problems.
- Provide passengers with information about the local area and points of interest, or give advice on hotels and restaurants if required.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding the client's personal information and activities.
- Handover the lost and found items to the Supervisor/ concerned authorities.
- Plan and research optimal routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Stay informed about current road conditions, traffic patterns, and potential delays.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Comply with the RTA/ transport dept. and Quality, Health and Safety standards of the company.
- Ensure that passengers follow safety regulations.
Minimum Experience and Knowledge
- High School/ RTA certificate
- Valid UAE Driver's License No. 3 (Light Duty Manual License)
Minimum of 2 years of experience of driving light vehicle in UAE
