Bank in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking a Loan Syndications Officer at the VP level!
Responsibilities:
Coordinates transaction execution and information flow throughout the syndicated loan lifecycle, and facilitates the collection, consolidation, and reporting of syndicated loan portfolio information.
Serves as the principal liaison with agent banks and participating financial institutions
Ensures the accurate, timely, and well-documented flow of information across the full syndicated loan transaction lifecycle — pre-closing, closing, settlement, and post-closing — maintaining a complete and auditable records.
Represents the Bank in dealings with counterparty institutions on participation-out (sell-down) opportunities within applicable Bank policies and delegated authority, supporting information exchange and coordinating responses to counterparty due diligence and documentation requirements.
Safeguards the integrity and completeness of syndicated loan records and documentation, in line with the Bank's segregation-of-duties framework.
Coordinates and administers post-closing matters — including renewals, amendments, waivers, and consents — across branches, agent banks, participants, and relevant Functions, following receipt of all required internal approvals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of directly relevant experience in syndicated lending / loan syndication.
Strong understanding of syndicated loan structures, participation arrangement, credit agreements, loan documentation, closing mechanics and syndication processes.
Familiar with LSTA (Loan Syndication and Trading Association) practices and documentation standards.
Strong relationship, coordination, and communication skills to represent the Bank effectively with agent banks, participating financial institutions, and frontline teams.
Minimum of 7-10 years of overall banking experience, including 5 years of relevant Syndicated lending experience.
Cantonese or Mandarin language fluency is a plus
