Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber for marine applications.
Install and secure marine hardware, fixtures, and fittings, ensuring proper alignment and load-bearing capacity.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on wooden elements to identify and address potential damage or wear before it compromises safety.

Possession of a vocational certificate or apprenticeship completion in carpentry or a related trade is highly preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands‑on carpentry experience, with at least 2 years specifically within the marine or shipbuilding industry.
Familiarity with marine‑specific materials, fasteners, and preservation techniques is essential.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
