Materials Manager

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is hiring a Manager – Materials Management to build and lead a new Materials Management function within our Supply Chain operation in Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced materials management, healthcare supply chain, inventory, logistics, or procurement professional who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and building operations from the ground up.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will help develop and oversee:

• Inventory management and controls

• Receiving, storage, distribution, and replenishment

• Materials management processes and procedures

• Inventory systems, reporting, and performance metrics

• Supply chain efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities

• Coordination with Procurement, Finance, clinical leadership, and university departments

• Supply continuity across multiple NSU locations

• A team responsible for supporting medical, dental, clinical, and university operations

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented leader who is comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on implementation. You'll work across the university to ensure critical supplies are available when and where they're needed while improving inventory visibility, efficiency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness.

Who we're looking for

The ideal candidate brings:

✓ 6+ years of experience in materials/inventory management, procurement, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related area

✓ Prior supervisory or people leadership experience

✓ Bachelor's degree

✓ Strong knowledge of inventory control, replenishment, receiving, distribution, and supply chain operations

✓ Experience using inventory, purchasing, logistics, or ERP systems

✓ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills

✓ Ability to create processes and structure in a developing operation

Experience within a large multi-site dental health system, medical/ambulatory health system, healthcare organization, or comparable supply chain environment is strongly preferred.

Experience with SAP/Ariba or other ERP systems is also a plus.
