I’m partnering with an established Midwest engineering consulting firm that is looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to its growing team in the Chicagoland area.
This is a great opportunity for someone with an HVAC and/or plumbing background who wants greater project ownership, direct access to leadership, and exposure to a specialized project portfolio.
The Opportunity:
- Lead mechanical/HVAC + plumbing design for municipal, water/wastewater + infrastructure facilities
- Take ownership of projects from design through construction
- Work on building systems within complex infrastructure environments
- Coordinate directly with clients + multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance and support to less-experienced engineers
- Opportunity to continue growing into project leadership + PM responsibilities
- Strong, consistent pipeline of long-term infrastructure projects
What They’re Looking For:
- Mechanical engineering experience within MEP/building systems
- Strong HVAC and/or plumbing design background
- Experience coordinating projects across multiple disciplines
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work directly with clients
- Strong communication + technical leadership skills
- PE valued for senior-level candidates
