Location:
Mirfa International Power & Water Company (MIPCO), Mirfa, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Purpose of the Job:
To ensure mechanical equipment in the plant is properly maintained to optimize reliability and availability, in accordance with OEM guidelines and maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily mechanical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure all safety, environmental, and quality protocols are followed.
- Participate in work planning, reporting, and using the CMMS (Maximo).
- Maintain high quality standards and complete tasks within deadlines and budget.
- Ensure readiness for emergency call-outs and 24-hour plant support.
- Support and cooperate with multicultural team members and contractors.
Performance Indicators:
- Timely work completion
- Quality of maintenance reports and documentation
- Effective use of Maximo system
- Plant availability and defect reduction
- Compliance with HSE requirements
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in power plant environments
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain various mechanical systems
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and plant isolation procedures
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- Computer literacy and good command of English
Experience:
1-2 years and for fresh graduates as a trainee
Education:
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent certification.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
- Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
- Organizational skills and continuous improvement mindset
Working Hours:
- The normal working hours will be from 7:30am to 4:30pm on Monday to Friday.
- Friday 7:30 am to 3:15 pm with hour prayer break.
- Ready to be located near site during the shift days
- Must be flexible to report to duty in case of an emergency.
