A growing financial institution is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join its team. This position is ideal for a mortgage professional who enjoys working directly with customers and guiding them through the home financing process from application through closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective borrowers to understand their financial background and homeownership goals.
- Recommend mortgage products that align with each customer's financial needs.
- Educate borrowers on rates, lending requirements, and the mortgage process.
- Collect and review financial documentation to ensure applications are complete and accurate.
- Partner with processors and underwriters to keep loans moving and resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain consistent communication with borrowers throughout the lending process.
- Build lasting client relationships and develop a strong referral network.
- Open and process loans in accordance with bank policies and applicable BSA, CIP, and OFAC requirements.
Qualifications
- 2- or 4-year college degree.
- 2+ years of mortgage lending experience.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending processes, regulations, and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
