A Multi-Skilled Technician at Ramada Plaza By Wyndham Dubai Deira Hotel 4 Star luxury hotel supports daily Engineering operations through preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, Carpentry, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and general building services. The role ensures hotel facilities remain safe, reliable and maintained to the highest standards while supporting an exceptional guest experience.
A Multi-Skilled Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing hotel facilities equipment, guestrooms, public areas, meeting spaces, back-of-house areas and engineering plant rooms. The role requires a flexible hands-on approach, technical knowledge, strong attention to detail and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational requirements.
Specifically you will be responsible for:
- Carry out general maintenance and repair works across multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, masonry and basic civil works.
- Attend preventive and corrective maintenance requests and complete assigned work within the required timeframe.
- Inspect equipment, fixtures and building systems to identify faults and maintenance requirements.
- Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing switches, sockets, lights and other basic components.
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, replacing fittings and clearing minor blockages.
- Assist with basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering and general repair works.
- Use tools, equipment and materials properly and maintain them in good working condition.
- Report major defects or technical issues that require specialist attention.
- Maintain proper records of completed maintenance activities and work orders.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other technicians when required.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and safe after completing maintenance activities.
- Follow company HSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements and safe working practices at all times.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Technician in Facilities Management, building maintenance or a similar environment.
- Good practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and general maintenance works.
- Technical certificate or diploma in a relevant trade is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues independently.
- Good knowledge of hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work orders.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in different site conditions.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
