Job Summary
SEHA is seeking an experienced Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynecology to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to women across obstetric and gynecological services. The Consultant will manage complex pregnancies and gynecological conditions, perform appropriate surgical and obstetric procedures, respond to emergencies, and contribute to multidisciplinary patient care in accordance with hospital standards and applicable UAE regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for obstetric and gynecological patients.
- Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, labor, delivery, and obstetric emergencies.
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of gynecological conditions.
- Perform obstetric and gynecological procedures and surgeries within approved clinical privileges.
- Provide inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and on-call services as required.
- Develop individualized treatment and management plans based on appropriate clinical standards.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, audits, and patient-safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Support clinical education, supervision, and development of junior medical staff where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification/board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology .
- Eligible for appointment and licensing at Consultant level under the applicable DOH Abu Dhabi requirements .
- Appropriate post-specialization clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Strong experience in managing complex obstetric and gynecological cases.
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- DOH license/eligibility is strongly preferred.
- Must be willing to work in the Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi.
