Do you enjoy putting industrial technology to work in the real world - from connecting equipment and commissioning systems to solving problems on the plant floor?
We’re recruiting for an established international manufacturer expanding its digital and connected industrial solutions. In this newly created role, you’ll help customers connect smart lubrication and reliability technologies to their existing automation, networks, and digital platforms.
This is a chance to combine your automation and integration skills with customer interaction, varied industrial projects, and the opportunity to help shape a growing technical function.
Why this opportunity?
- Own the implementation: Take projects from site assessment and integration planning through commissioning and ongoing support.
- Work across technologies: Connect industrial equipment, sensors, PLCs, SCADA, gateways, and cloud or enterprise systems.
- See the impact: Help customers improve equipment reliability, access useful operating data, and keep connected systems running.
- Build your expertise: Expand your experience in industrial IoT, OT/IT integration, and digital reliability solutions.
- Bring your transferable skills: Prior lubrication experience is not required - it can be taught.
What you’ll do
- Assess customer sites and technical requirements to plan successful deployments.
- Integrate connected devices and industrial equipment into existing OT and IT environments.
- Configure gateways, interfaces, APIs, and data communications so information reaches the systems customers use.
- Commission installations, validate functionality and data accuracy, and troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues.
- Work with customer IT and automation teams to meet cybersecurity and secure-access requirements.
- Document configurations and integration procedures, and support customers after deployment.
- Collaborate with application engineering, service, sales, product management, and R&D.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation, controls, systems integration, SCADA, industrial IoT, or digital manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with implementation, commissioning, and troubleshooting in industrial environments.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, industrial sensors, and networking, plus experience connecting equipment to other systems.
- Exposure to technologies such as OPC-UA, MQTT, gateways, APIs, or cloud platforms .
- An understanding of cybersecurity considerations when connecting industrial systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both plant personnel and IT teams.
- A relevant degree in engineering, computer science, IT, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% , primarily within the U.S., with some international travel.
Experience with condition monitoring, reliability technologies, MES, CMMS, or ERP integration is a plus. You do not need experience with every technology listed - we’re interested in your practical foundation, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
Interested?
If you’re an automation, controls, SCADA, or integration engineer ready to broaden your experience in connected industrial technology, we’d like to hear from you.
