Detailed Job Description:

As a Power BI Developer supporting our banking domain clients in Doha, Qatar on a short-term contract basis, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of dashboard architecture, semantic model development, report optimization, and data security governance. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, writing complex DAX measures and Power Query transformations, managing SSAS Tabular Models and cubes, implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS), administering Power BI Report Server (On-Premises), building optimized star schema data warehouses, writing SQL queries and stored procedures, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production release cycles, and collaborating closely with banking stakeholders and data engineering squads. You will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills to resolve complex performance and data modeling bottlenecks under tight project delivery deadlines. Furthermore, you will manage application requirements by ensuring strict compliance with the valid QID and immediate joining prerequisites.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, semantic models, reports, and enterprise KPIs. Write highly optimized DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query (M Language) data transformation scripts. Build, configure, and maintain SSAS Tabular Models and analytical cubes for high-performance financial reporting. Implement robust data security governance including Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and data masking. Administer and manage Power BI Report Server (On-Premises) environments, scheduled refreshes, and user permission roles. Architect and optimize star schema data warehouses, relational database schemas, and data mart structures. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and ETL data integration workflows. Provide comprehensive technical support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployments, and post-launch maintenance. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 5 to 6 years of progressive professional experience in business intelligence, data visualization, and Power BI development. Strong, demonstrable hands‑on expertise in Power BI desktop, service, DAX scripting, and Power Query (M Language) data modeling. Deep practical proficiency in SSAS Tabular Models, multidimensional cubes, and on-premises Power BI Report Server administration. Solid practical experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and data security frameworks. Proven operational knowledge of star schema data warehousing principles, SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines. Mandatory specialized domain experience within banking, financial services, or highly regulated financial reporting environments. Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities under fast-paced enterprise environments. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong stakeholder presentation and cross-functional abilities. Mandatory possession of a valid QID (Qatar ID) and physical availability for immediate joining in Doha. Nice-to-Have Skills: Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
