NNC is looking for a PR Junior Account Executive who is curious, organised, culturally aware and ready to build a career in public relations and communications.
You do not need years of agency experience.
You do need strong Arabic and English communication skills, excellent attention to detail, curiosity about what is happening in the world and the willingness to learn quickly.
You will work closely with PR Account Managers, Account Directors and NNC's wider creative, digital, social and production teams to support client accounts, media relations, content development, research, reporting and campaign execution.
This role is designed for someone who wants to learn how modern PR actually works-from understanding a client and identifying a story to developing media materials, engaging journalists, monitoring coverage and evaluating results.
You will also learn to use AI responsibly for research, media intelligence, information synthesis and workflow acceleration while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and human judgment.
What You'll Do
Client & Account Support
- Support Account Managers with day-to-day client servicing and account coordination.
- Attend meetings and prepare clear meeting notes, action points and follow-ups.
- Track client requests, approvals, feedback and deadlines.
- Help prepare status reports, presentations and account documents.
- Learn each client's business, communication objectives, audiences and key messages.
- Follow up proactively and ensure assigned actions are completed on time.
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams in Arabic and English.
- Gradually take ownership of smaller account responsibilities as you develop.
Media Relations
- Support the development and maintenance of relevant UAE and regional media lists.
- Research journalists, publications, programmes, podcasts and media opportunities.
- Assist with media outreach under the guidance of senior PR team members.
- Support journalist enquiries, interview coordination and media requests.
- Help prepare media invitations, pitch notes and briefing materials.
- Track outreach activity and maintain accurate records.
- Begin developing relationships with journalists and media contacts.
- Learn what makes a story genuinely relevant to different media outlets.
Writing & Content
- Support the drafting of press releases, media alerts, talking points, biographies, briefing documents and other PR materials.
- Write and review content in Arabic and English.
- Adapt messages naturally between Arabic and English rather than relying on literal translation.
- Proofread materials carefully for grammar, spelling, names, dates and factual accuracy.
- Learn how to identify the strongest news angle within a client announcement.
- Support research and preparation for thought‑leadership content, interviews and features.
Arabic & Regional Communication
- Communicate confidently in Arabic with clients, media and colleagues.
- Demonstrate excellent Arabic reading and writing ability.
- Understand Modern Standard Arabic and appropriate professional communication.
- Recognise Arabic writing that sounds translated, unnatural or inappropriate for the audience.
- Develop knowledge of UAE, GCC and wider Arab media and cultural context.
- Help ensure communications are locally relevant and culturally appropriate.
Media Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor print, online, broadcast and social media coverage.
- Identify relevant client, competitor and industry mentions.
- Maintain accurate coverage trackers and media reports.
- Support monthly, campaign and event reporting.
- Learn to distinguish meaningful coverage from simple mentions.
- Help identify patterns, sentiment, recurring narratives and opportunities.
- Support evaluation of campaign results against agreed objectives.
You should gradually learn to answer:
What happened? Why does it matter? And what should we do next?
Research & Media Intelligence
- Conduct research on clients, industries, competitors, journalists and current issues.
- Track relevant news cycles, cultural moments and emerging topics.
- Identify potential PR opportunities and media angles.
- Prepare concise research summaries for senior team members.
- Verify facts and use reliable sources.
- Develop the habit of understanding context rather than simply collecting information.
Events & Activations
- Support press conferences, launches, interviews, media visits and other client events.
- Assist with media invitations, confirmations and attendance tracking.
- Coordinate information and materials required by journalists.
- Support on‑site media management when required.
- Assist with post‑event follow‑ups and coverage tracking.
AI & Emerging Technology
- Use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or comparable platforms responsibly within your workflow.
- Use AI to support research, information synthesis, media landscape analysis and idea exploration.
- Use AI to organise notes, structure information and accelerate first drafts where appropriate.
- Develop effective prompts and learn how to improve outputs through iteration.
- Verify AI-generated facts before using them.
- Never treat AI output as a reliable source by itself.
- Understand confidentiality and avoid exposing sensitive client information through inappropriate AI usage.
- Stay curious about emerging PR, media‑monitoring and research technologies.
Organisation & Workflow
- Maintain accurate trackers, files, media lists and documentation.
- Manage several tasks and deadlines at the same time.
- Follow agreed workflows and keep senior team members informed of progress.
- Flag missing information or possible delays early.
- Take accurate notes and follow through on commitments.
- Become someone your team can depend on.
What We're Looking For

- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office or comparable tools.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and an interest in using them productively.
- Genuine interest in UAE and GCC media, business and culture.
Your Degree
A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Political Science, Business or a related field is useful.
However, we care just as much about your writing ability, intelligence, curiosity, judgment and potential .

- Experience writing Arabic or English articles, press releases or editorial content.
- Familiarity with UAE newspapers, broadcasters and digital publications.
- Basic experience with Meltwater, Cision, Sprinklr or other media‑monitoring tools.
- Event or conference coordination experience.
- Experience with student societies, volunteering or projects requiring external communication.

You read the news.
You ask why something is newsworthy.
You take accurate notes.
You fact‑check before sending.
You notice when a name, date or number is wrong.
You follow up without being chased.
You become more confident speaking to journalists and clients.
