- Problem Definition & Framing: Work directly with your PM and Engineering leads to translate user needs and business requirements into clear, validated design solutions.
- User Research & Insights: Plan and execute evaluative user research (usability testing, user interviews) and utilize quantitative metrics to validate design hypotheses.
- Design System Stewardship: Apply and advocate for our design system consistently across web and mobile experiences. Identify gaps, propose new components, and help evolve system patterns.
- Systems & Edge Case Thinking: Design with a deep understanding of complex backend workflows, edge cases, offline states, and multi-step user journeys.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with developers during handoff and QA to ensure technical feasibility and craft quality during release.
- Design Advocacy & Communication: Present design solutions, logic, and trade-offs clearly to squad stakeholders, incorporating feedback iteratively.
- Craft & Process Innovation: Participate actively in design critiques, help facilitate ideation workshops, and integrate AI tools to accelerate design workflows.
