Product Sales Specialist

Wood Mackenzie is looking for enthusiastic talented and ambitious sales professionals to join our growing Trading Solutions Sales team The Product Sales Specialists PSS will partner with Account Management and New Logo sales teams to identify develop and grow opportunities for Wood Mackenzie s Trading Solutions portfolio across the Asia Pacific region This role is based in Singapore and supports customers across Asia Pacific while helping APAC-headquartered organizations leverage Wood Mackenzie s regional and global Trading Solutions portfolio to support trading analysis investment and growth opportunities across international energy markets The role will support customers across oil refining LNG and broader energy trading workflows helping them leverage market intelligence and data-driven insights to make better commercial decisions While a significant focus will be on APAC market opportunities the role will also support APAC-headquartered organizations seeking market intelligence trading insights and expansion opportunities across global commodity markets including North America Europe the Middle East and other key energy regions Reporting to the Head of Trading Solutions Specialist Sales the PSS will act as a subject matter expert supporting sales execution customer engagement and cross-functional collaboration while helping drive growth across Wood Mackenzie s Trading Solutions business This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual who combines strong market knowledge customer-centric thinking and a passion for solving complex business challenges through data analytics and market intelligence

Main Responsibilities

Product and Market Expertise

• Develop a deep understanding of Wood Mackenzie s Trading Solutions portfolio and the value it delivers across energy trading market analysis commercial strategy and investment workflows
• Build expertise across key solution areas including oil storage intelligence refinery intelligence production monitoring LNG intelligence and future Trading Solutions product developments
• Understand how customers use regional and global market intelligence to support trading optimization supply and demand analysis market entry investment and growth strategies
• Act as an internal ambassador for the Trading Solutions portfolio by sharing product updates market developments customer feedback and competitive intelligence across the organization
• Work collaboratively with Sales Customer Success Marketing Product Research and Consulting teams to maximize customer outcomes and commercial success

Commercial Growth and Customer Development

• Partner closely with Account Management teams to identify and develop expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts by understanding customer objectives workflows and evolving business needs
• Support New Logo Sales teams throughout the sales cycle including opportunity qualification discovery solution positioning demonstrations value articulation and commercial strategy
• Engage with stakeholders across trading commercial strategy market analysis refining supply and optimization business development and investment teams
• Help customers understand how Wood Mackenzie s solutions can support both regional market intelligence requirements and global trading and expansion opportunities
• Drive adoption of APAC-focused offerings while also identifying opportunities to position global Trading Solutions products and services with APAC-based organizations seeking insight into international markets and commodity flows

Territory Planning

• Develop maintain and execute a strategic growth plan for the APAC territory
• Identify priority markets target accounts growth opportunities and competitive risks
• Build strong relationships across key customer segments including trading organizations refiners national oil companies commodity market participants financial institutions and energy market analysts
• Collaborate closely with Account Management New Logo Sales Customer Success Product Research and Consulting teams to execute territory plans and achieve growth objectives

Product Development and Market Feedback

• Work closely with Product and Research teams to help shape the product roadmap through customer feedback market knowledge workflow expertise and competitive intelligence
• Identify evolving customer requirements and emerging opportunities across regional and global energy markets
• Support the successful launch and commercialization of new Trading Solutions products and services
• Act as the voice of the customer and provide actionable market insight to support future innovation and growth

Qualifications

Essential

• Significant experience in client-facing sales, pre-sales, product specialist, solutions consulting, market intelligence, or commercial roles
• Strong understanding of energy markets, commodity trading workflows, or market intelligence solutions
• Experience working with customers involved in oil, refining, LNG, trading, commercial strategy, commodity analysis, or related sectors
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and act as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert
• Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of supporting revenue growth and customer development
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple internal teams and functions
• Strong organizational, planning, and territory management skills
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for using data, analytics, and market intelligence to solve customer challenges
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a growth mindset

Desirable

• Knowledge of oil trading, refining, storage, production monitoring, LNG, shipping, commodity flows, or energy market fundamentals
• Experience selling or supporting data, analytics, market intelligence, SaaS, or information services solutions
• Experience working with customers across multiple geographic markets, including APAC, EMEA, and the Americas
• Understanding of international commodity markets and cross-regional trading dynamics
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
