Key Responsibilities

The Production Engineer will support day-to-day manufacturing operations and coordinate with different technical teams to ensure vehicles are completed according to approved requirements.

Main responsibilities include:

• Plan and monitor the manufacturing, assembly and conversion of specialized vehicles.
• Convert approved engineering drawings, specifications and BOQs into practical production plans.
• Coordinate vehicle body fabrication and modification activities.
• Supervise the integration of mechanical, electrical and specialized equipment into vehicles.
• Organize production activities and allocate work according to project schedules and priorities.
• Track manufacturing progress and help ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, procurement, assembly and quality-control teams.
• Identify technical or production-related problems and support timely corrective actions.
• Verify that materials, equipment and components meet approved technical specifications.
• Monitor production processes to identify delays, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct production inspections and maintain relevant technical and project records.
• Support testing and final quality inspections before completed vehicles are released for handover.
• Promote compliance with applicable automotive, quality and occupational health and safety requirements.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in one of the following or a closely related discipline:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Automotive Engineering
• Production Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering

A relevant engineering qualification combined with suitable vehicle-manufacturing experience may also be considered depending on the employer’s requirements.

Experience and Technical Skills
