About the Role
We are looking for a well-organized and proactive Project Coordinator with experience working in a retail environment, preferably within retail fit-out, interior design, architecture, or related project-based industries. The ideal candidate will have strong project coordination and negotiation skills, good knowledge of Auto CAD and technical drawings, and a background or working knowledge of interior design and graphic design. The successful candidate should be comfortable coordinating between clients, designers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day activities for retail and interior design projects. Coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Read, understand, and interpret architectural, interior, shop, and technical drawings. Review drawings and identify discrepancies, missing information, or coordination issues. Use Auto CAD to review drawings and make basic edits or adjustments when required. Assist with retail layouts, shop fit-outs, displays, fixtures, and interior design requirements. Coordinate materials, finishes, samples, quotations, and supplier requirements. Negotiate with suppliers and contractors regarding pricing, timelines, materials, and deliverables. Prepare and maintain project schedules, trackers, reports, drawings, and documentation. Follow up closely on project deadlines, deliveries, approvals, and outstanding actions. Attend project meetings and ensure action points are properly followed up. Coordinate design revisions and ensure the latest drawings and information are communicated to relevant parties. Support the team with presentations, visual materials, and basic graphic design requirements. Maintain organized project files, drawings, approvals, quotations, and correspondence. Identify potential project delays or issues and communicate them proactively. Support the Project Manager and design team throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements
Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Executive, Design Coordinator, or similar role. Experience working in a retail environment is highly preferred. Experience with retail fit-out, interior design, construction, architecture, or shopfitting is an advantage. Good working knowledge of Auto CAD. Ability to confidently read and understand architectural and technical drawings. Basic to good knowledge of interior design, materials, finishes, and space planning. Basic knowledge of graphic design and visual presentations. Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Power Point.
