Project Engineer role supporting large-scale commercial construction, with a strong preference for hyperscale or mission-critical data center experience. This person will serve as a technical resource in the field, coordinating CSA scopes, subcontractors, design teams, BIM activities, RFIs/submittals, quality, commissioning, and turnover.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Project Engineering experience within commercial building construction.
- Hyperscale or mission-critical data center construction experience highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, trade sequencing, and commissioning workflows.
- Experience coordinating civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) scopes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and submittals.
- Experience with RFIs, shop drawings, change documents, field coordination, and subcontractor management.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination, clash detection, QA/QC, system startup, and commissioning.
- High school diploma/GED required; engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical/craft background preferred.
Why this Role
- Opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical construction where coordination and sequencing are essential to successful delivery.
- Strong field exposure with direct involvement in construction, design coordination, BIM, QA/QC, commissioning, and turnover.
- High visibility working across area managers, subcontractors, design teams, MEP engineers, and client representatives.
- Broad project exposure across the complete CSA scope rather than responsibility for one narrow construction discipline.
- Great fit for a Project Engineer looking to deepen their technical experience on large, highly coordinated construction projects.
