Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You’ve come to the right place.
You will collaborate with other colleagues (e.g., client development advisors, proposal strategists, designers, competitive insights specialists, etc.) to shape our thinking on proposal best practices and drive continuous improvement. You’ll be part of McKinsey’s Social, Healthcare and Public Entities (SHaPE) team and will be based in Doha, Qatar. You will aid SHaPE leaders in delivering the client activation mission, supporting the overall client activation strategy and related priority proposal opportunities. You will collaborate with the Practice leadership and management teams, as well as colleagues from Finance, Risk, and Legal teams. You will collaborate with consultants leading priority proposals. Day-to-day, your team may consist of a Proposal Specialist and Proposal Manager. Alongside your alignment to SHaPE, you will be part of the Proposal Services path, a global community focused on growing our existing and new client relationships by enabling efficient and effective delivery of proposals. You will report to the regional Proposal Manager. You will be a key member of the Proposal Squad for SHaPE EEMA, with a focus on Doha. You will support teams within SHaPE to co-create elements of distinctive proposals and associated supporting materials. Specifically, you will coordinate the proposal documents and process under the guidance of Proposal Managers/Specialists; create timely and high-quality proposal content; gather feedback and manage cadence of iterations and reviews with consultant teams. You will build proposal development expertise and create content and thought leadership that can be used as best practices at the cell or global level, prepare templates, compliance matrices, close-out activities, and/or other administrative elements throughout proposal development based on submission requirements and maintain and populate proposal assets (playbooks, digital tools, templates, best-practice examples, reference cases). Also, you will embed into consultant and proposal teams via an agile operating model to learn client context and create compelling proposal documents, materials, and experiences. Where applicable, you will perform research and quantitative/qualitative analysis (as assigned) to inform key hypotheses and insights and customize proposals for clients (e.g., interviews, secondary research); engage subject matter experts. You will seek opportunities to bring the best of the firm’s broader capabilities and expertise into proposals, grow industry and sector knowledge during and outside proposals to help shape content proactively with relevant knowledge. We work together with our clients to turn these ambitious goals into reality. The firm’s primary objective has remained constant over time: to serve senior leaders as their most trusted external advisor on critical issues facing their organizations.
