Study project specifications and technical drawings to gain an understanding and appreciation of work to be undertaken
Inspect work being carried out on projects, within allocated area of responsibility, to ensure compliance with the Quality inspection plan
Resolve minor issues at the work site and prepare a non-conformance report in the case of more serious breaches setting out the circumstances
Ensure the timely issuance of inspection and testing quality records and check their adequacy to demonstrate the conformity of construction works
Monitor work progress and requests Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of welds at predetermined locations
Follow-up on results and ensures required action is implemented
Generate inspection reports to record activities undertaken daily and sign-off completed work segments at respective hold points and passes reports to Documentation for filing and safekeeping
Liaise with client QC representative on inspection activities and provide clarifications
Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard
Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum 05 years of experience in a similar role and industry
Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Experience in dredging and civil marine projects is highly preferred
