- Build and track KPIs that matter (not vanity metrics)
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D (non-negotiable)
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits
- Manage calibration programs and ensure audit readiness
- Partner cross-functionally to improve processes, reduce defects, and raise the bar
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5+ years in quality and/or continuous improvement within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (audit experience a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, MSA, capability studies
- Comfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience with ERP and QMS systems
- Background working with steel, stainless steel, or aluminum preferred
Why this role
- High-impact, hands-on position in a fast-moving environment
- Visibility across operations and leadership
- Relocation assistance available for Columbus, MS
If you’re the kind of Quality Engineer who fixes problems instead of documenting them to death, this one’s worth a conversation.
