Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for mechanical works.
- Review drawings, specifications, tender documents, and contract requirements.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier enquiries, quotations, and comparisons.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, variations, and commercial changes.
- Prepare interim payment applications, valuations, and payment certificates.
- Measure and value completed mechanical works at site.
- Identify, evaluate, and prepare variation orders and claims.
- Review subcontractor applications, supporting documents, and invoices.
- Assist in preparing cost reports, forecasts, and commercial reports.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Accounts teams.
- Verify quantities and progress against approved drawings and site records.
- Maintain proper records of quantities, measurements, variations, and commercial correspondence.
- Support the preparation and finalization of subcontract accounts and final accounts.
- Ensure commercial activities are carried out in accordance with project contracts, specifications, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in mechanical quantity surveying, preferably within the GCC.
- Experience in building, MEP, infrastructure, or major construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and related MEP systems.
- Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, measurement, variations, valuations, and cost control.
- Experience with subcontractor and supplier commercial management.
- Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying / measurement software.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- GCC / Qatar project experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Pay: QAR9,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
