Our client, an established real estate owner, developer and investment organization, is seeking a Real Estate Counsel with four to eight years of substantive commercial real estate experience gained in a Big Law or AmLaw 200 firm. The ideal candidate will have broad transactional experience, with particular strength drafting and negotiating development, leasing and joint venture agreements.
You will have primary responsibility for drafting, negotiating and managing a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, design and construction, leasing, financing and joint ventures. You will work directly with senior legal and business professionals, advise on contractual obligations and risk, oversee outside counsel and handle selected corporate matters.
This is an opportunity for an experienced real estate attorney to build upon a strong private practice foundation and move closer to the business without moving away from sophisticated real estate work. Compensation includes a base salary of $240K to $270K, annual bonus potential of up to 25% and a top tier benefits package. New York Bar admission is required. You will join an established organization where the legal function is integral to the business and where your judgment and work product can directly impact its investments, developments and real estate portfolio.
