The Hotel Recreation Attendant is responsible for assisting guests with recreational facilities and activities and ensuring safety, cleanliness and a positive guest experience. Typical tasks include: Responsibilities
Guest Service
Welcome guests and explain available recreational facilities and activities Provide information about pool rules, fitness center usage, sports courts, beach activities or resort programs Assist guests with equipment rentals and reservations Answer questions and respond to guest requests professionally
Facility Monitoring
Supervise recreational areas such as pools, beaches, gyms, playgrounds and sports facilities Ensure guests follow safety rules and facility guidelines Report hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to supervisors
Equipment Management
Set up and store recreational equipment (bicycles, kayaks, sports gear, towels, etc.) Inspect equipment for damage and arrange repairs when needed Maintain inventory of recreation supplies
Activity Support
Assist in organizing and conducting recreational activities, games, tournaments and events Help with children’s programs, fitness classes or entertainment activities when assigned Prepare activity areas before and after events
Cleanliness and Maintenance
Keep recreation areas clean, organized and presentable Arrange towels, chairs, umbrellas and other guest amenities Ensure facilities meet hotel cleanliness and safety standards
Safety Responsibilities
