You identify and develop new client relationships in the defense sector, manage and nurture existing accounts, and expand opportunities within current client organizations. You prospect, plan, and conduct face-to-face visits with new customers within your territory, and follow up on sales leads generated by overseas offices or assigned by your manager.
You oversee proposal development and collaborate with internal teams to create winning bids that meet client needs and company profitability goals. You consult with multiple levels of decision-makers and buying influences to understand customers' business challenges and supply chain goals, and develop tailored logistics solutions that deliver measurable value.
You collaborate with management to ensure alignment with branch strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development. You coordinate quotes with the Customer Service team and facilitate smooth transition of new customers to local Account Executives.
You manage ongoing customer interactions across the defense sector, conduct regular visits to clients and potential prospects, and remain engaged to maintain relationships and ensure ongoing account success.
Defense logistics is one of the most specialized and relationship-intensive niches in the freight forwarding world, and CEVA's IMEA scope from Dubai covers a geography that includes some of the most active defense procurement markets globally — UAE, KSA, and beyond. The hunter profile combined with strategic account management makes this a genuinely commercial role with direct revenue impact visibility. As highlighted in our earlier CEVA listing, the CMA CGM Group backing provides financial stability and a global network that strengthens every client conversation. For defense logistics professionals ready to step into a senior commercial role with a Tier 1 freight forwarder, this is a strong opportunity.
For a Regional KAM with 5+ years in defense logistics and 2+ years in commercial account management, based in Dubai:
Commission and performance bonus structures in defense logistics KAM roles typically add 20-40% on top of the base, making total compensation significantly higher for strong performers.
