Regional Sales Engineer (Marine products)

One of our clients in Sharjah is looking for Regional Sales Engineer, a highly motivated and commercially driven role to develop and manage our business across the Middle East and Africa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing our dealer network, driving regional sales growth, supporting key customer opportunities, and ensuring strong coordination between our organization and local dealers.

The role covers marine engines, diesel generator sets, industrial engines and OEM applications, with a strong focus on building sustainable dealer business and identifying new growth opportunities across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing dealers and distributors across the Middle East and Africa.
• Act as the key commercial interface between the company and dealer management, ensuring strong communication, alignment and business development.
• Develop regional sales strategies, annual business plans and dealer action plans in line with company objectives.
• Work closely with dealers to prepare sales forecasts, market analysis, pipeline development and annual sales targets.
• Monitor dealer performance and identify actions required to improve sales, market coverage and customer penetration.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, customers, applications and potential partners across the region.
• Support sales of marine engines, diesel generator sets, industrial engines and engines supplied to OEM customers.
• Regularly visit dealers and join customer visits to support commercial discussions, product presentations and technical/commercial positioning.
• Present and explain the company's products, applications, solutions and after-sales capabilities to dealers and end customers.
• Support dealers during major projects, tenders and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate internally regarding quotations, order processing, production/delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Follow up on orders, invoicing, payments and collection, working closely with dealers and internal finance/operations teams.
• Maintain visibility of the regional sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting, sales reports and market intelligence to management.
• Monitor competitors, market developments, pricing trends and emerging opportunities within the assigned territories.
• Participate in exhibitions, dealer meetings, customer events and other regional business-development activities.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales/Marketing or a related discipline.
• Relevant B2B sales and business-development experience within engines, power generation, marine equipment, industrial equipment or related sectors.
• Experience managing dealers, distributors or channel partners across multiple countries is strongly preferred.
• Marine industry sales experience is highly preferred, particularly in:
• Marine propulsion systems
• Experience with diesel generator sets, industrial engines or OEM engine sales will be a strong advantage.
• Good commercial understanding, including forecasting, pricing, payment terms, order management and collections.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable dealing with dealer owners, senior management, sales teams, OEMs and end customers.
• Able to work independently across a large and culturally diverse territory.
• Fluent English is required.
• Arabic and/or French would be a strong advantage.
• Willing and able to travel approximately 25–50% of the time across the Middle East and Africa.
• Highly motivated, proactive and results-oriented, with a strong willingness to take on new markets and new challenges.
