Registration Officer / Driver

The Registration Officer / Driver is responsible for completing all vehicle registration, transfer and licensing transactions with the relevant UAE authorities, and for the safe movement of company and customer vehicles between the showroom, storage yard, workshop, inspection centres and customer locations. The role combines accurate government transaction processing with a professional, presentable driving and delivery service, and carries significant responsibility for company documents, funds and assets while in the field.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Vehicle Registration & Government Transactions

• Process new vehicle registrations, ownership transfers, plate issuance, renewals and export certificates with the relevant traffic and licensing authorities.
• Complete transactions at registration centres, typing centres and testing centres, and arrange vehicle inspection or passing where required.
• Ensure registration cards are issued accurately, promptly and with the correct owner, specification and insurance details, and hand them to the Billing & Sales Administrator for the deal file.

Documentation & Compliance

• Verify that all supporting documents are complete and valid before submission, including customs clearance certificates, invoices, identification documents, trade licenses and insurance certificates.
• Maintain an accurate register of all transactions submitted and completed, with reference numbers, fees paid and receipts retained.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE traffic, licensing and vehicle registration regulations, and report any rejection or non-compliance issue immediately.

Vehicle Movement & Driving

• Safely drive and move vehicles between showroom, storage yard, workshop, inspection centres, event sites and customer locations.
• Conduct pre-movement checks covering fuel, tyres, fluid levels and existing damage, and report any defect or damage before and after each movement.
• Observe all traffic laws and company driving standards at all times, and report accidents, incidents and traffic fines immediately.

Deliveries & Customer Support

• Support customer vehicle deliveries and handovers, ensuring the vehicle is presented clean, fuelled and complete with all documents and accessories.
• Collect and deliver documents, keys, plates and authorized payments, obtaining signed acknowledgement for each.
• Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times when in contact with customers and authorities.
• Handle registration fees and petty cash responsibly, retain all receipts and reconcile balances with the Billing & Sales Administrator.
• Account for tolls, fuel and parking expenses, and report traffic fines incurred on company vehicles without delay.
• Safeguard company vehicles, keys, plates and documents while in personal custody.
• Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilize sound judgment in decision making.
• Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications

• Secondary school certificate as a minimum; a diploma in a business or administrative discipline is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driver's license is essential.

Work Experience

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a vehicle registration, public relations officer, or professional driver role within the UAE automotive sector.
• Practical working knowledge of UAE vehicle registration and transfer procedures and of registration and typing centre requirements.

Skills & Personal Attributes

• Clean UAE driving record and confident handling of a wide range of vehicles, including high value units.
• Familiarity with traffic authority systems, forms and fee structures.
• High level of honesty and integrity in handling company documents, plates, keys and cash.
• Punctual, reliable and well presented, with a professional manner when representing the company.
• Ability to read and communicate in Arabic is strongly preferred; working English is required.
• Organized record keeping and the discipline to obtain and retain receipts and acknowledgements.
