Restaurant Manager Chinese Cuisine

As aRestaurant Manager you will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant by ensuring an authentic Chinese dining experience provided to the guests while maintaining Shangri-Las luxury hospitality standards. Also you will lead and develop the team drive service excellence and revenue performance and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction. And you will work closely with the culinary and beverage teams to maintain operational efficiency quality and consistency across all aspects of the outlet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of Shang Palace ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
• Lead coach and develop the restaurant team to consistently deliver luxury Chinese dining and hospitality standards.
• Monitor restaurant revenue food and beverage costs inventory and other financial targets to achieve business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with guests handle feedback professionally and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to promote Chinese cuisine menu offerings and beverage pairings while maintaining quality and consistency.

About You:

• Fluent in Chinese and English with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Chinese cuisine culture dining etiquette and service practices.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in revenue generation upselling and cost control.
• Excellent organizational problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Professional appearance cultural awareness and a strong passion for hospitality.
• Diploma or bachelors degree in hospitality management Hotel Management Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• Training or certification in Food Safety and HACCP is advantageous and additional training in Chinese cuisine wine tea or beverage service is an advantage.
• 57 years of Food & Beverage experience with at least 23 years in a Restaurant Manager or equivalent leadership position.
• Previous experience managing a Chinese restaurant or Chinese specialty outlet is preferred.
• Experience managing Chinese-speaking guests and understanding their dining preferences and expectations.
• Strong experience in team leadership guest relations revenue management cost control and restaurant operations.
