We are recruiting a Retail Merchandiser for an established international luxury house, offering an opportunity to work closely with the product, retail and commercial sides of the business.
This is a position for someone who genuinely enjoys luxury fashion and accessories, has a strong eye for product and understands how to translate sales performance, market knowledge and client preferences into better merchandising decisions.
You will be working in an environment where product knowledge, commercial judgement and attention to detail are equally important.
The role offers considerable involvement in the commercial performance of the retail network, from seasonal planning and product assortment through to stock allocation, replenishment and identifying opportunities for growth.
You will work closely with retail management and merchandising teams to understand the needs of individual boutiques, ensuring product decisions reflect both commercial performance and the expectations of a sophisticated luxury clientele.
An important part of the position will be understanding what is happening in the stores, not simply reviewing reports from a distance.
Regular boutique visits, discussions with retail teams and a strong awareness of the local luxury market will help shape your recommendations and priorities.
We would like to speak with candidates who have developed their careers within international luxury fashion, leather goods, accessories or a comparable luxury retail environment.
You should bring at least five years of relevant experience in retail merchandising, buying, assortment planning or a closely related commercial product function.
A genuine understanding of luxury products and the expectations of a high-end retail environment is important.
You will need to be confident analysing sales performance, interpreting merchandising KPIs and making commercially sound recommendations.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with retail reporting and inventory systems are expected.
Equally important is your ability to communicate with boutique teams, understand the realities of retail and build effective relationships with colleagues across different functions.
We are looking for someone organised, commercially curious and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
A relevant degree would be advantageous, although strong practical experience within international luxury retail will be particularly valued.
This is an opportunity to be closely involved with the product and the decisions that influence how a luxury retail business performs.
You will gain exposure to different collections, client profiles and commercial priorities, while working with experienced professionals who understand the importance of both product excellence and retail performance.
It would suit a merchandiser who enjoys being close to the business, has strong commercial instincts and wants their next role to offer genuine involvement rather than simply producing reports.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can combine analytical ability with a natural understanding of luxury products and the clients who buy them.
