Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced RT Level II Technician to support radiographic testing, radiation safety, and inspection activities across project sites.
Position Summary:
Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced RT Level II Technician to support radiographic testing, radiation safety management, dose monitoring, workplace monitoring, and project-specific inspection requirements.
The technician will perform film interpretation, evaluate radiographic indications against applicable acceptance criteria, conduct densitometer calibrations and demonstrations, prepare examination reports, and coordinate with other NDT teams. The role also involves supporting ADNOC projects, site audits, FANR audits, and effective communication with clients, HSE, and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic film interpretation for various types of inspection jobs in accordance with approved procedures.
Verify that the radiographic technique used meets applicable project and procedural requirements.
Perform required densitometer calibrations and demonstrations in accordance with project-specific approved procedures.
Verify joint details on radiographic films against client requirements.
Classify indications arising from actual discontinuities, weld geometry, and film artifacts.
Interpret applicable code requirements related to Radiographic Testing.
Interpret sensitivity requirements and evaluate indications against specified acceptance criteria.
Prepare final radiographic examination reports using approved reporting formats.
Perform inspection activities in accordance with the project scope and prevailing site conditions.
Coordinate with multi-method, PAUT, and other NDT teams to support timely completion and submission of reports and timesheets.
Submit timesheets on time and return approved timesheets to the office in accordance with management guidelines.
Participate in daily toolbox talks and follow instructions provided by site coordinators and crew leaders.
Use and maintain safety devices and tools provided for assigned work.
Maintain and properly use tools under their control and select the appropriate tools for each job.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow housekeeping requirements.
Attend company and other required training programs as directed by management.
Report to work in suitable clothing and ensure clothing or jewelry does not create a safety hazard.
Perform all work in a safe and alert manner while remaining aware of potential hazards and changing site conditions.
Take appropriate precautions to protect the environment.
Follow all applicable safety requirements to protect themselves and coworkers.
Radiation Safety & Job Objectives:
Manage radiation safety activities at project sites.
Monitor radiation doses and maintain appropriate records.
Support incident management activities related to radiation safety.
Serve as Performing Authority for ADNOC projects.
Communicate effectively with clients, company HSE personnel, and operations teams.
Support the implementation of an effective radiation safety culture within the organization.
Conduct site audits and support FANR audits.
Apply managerial skills in radiation safety and site operations.
Support radiation safety management with a strong focus on site-based activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
Good communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level.
Certification
Advanced RPO Training.
WMS Full Package for ADNOC.
Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
Good exposure to radiation safety, particularly site radiation safety management.
Experience with Radiographic Testing and film interpretation.
Experience with radiation monitoring and safety management.
Experience supporting site audits and FANR audits.
Experience working on ADNOC projects is required based on the stated project responsibilities and WMS requirement.
Strong knowledge of Radiographic Testing requirements and applicable codes.
Ability to interpret radiographic films and classify indications.
Ability to evaluate indications against acceptance criteria.
Knowledge of sensitivity requirements and radiographic techniques.
Understanding of radiation safety management and workplace monitoring.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively with clients, HSE teams, operations personnel, and other NDT teams.
Ability to manage radiation safety activities and promote a strong safety culture.
